A FINAL opportunity is being offered to purchase dedication plaques to be placed on a new Exmoor bridge which is nearing completion over the River Barle.

Great Bradley Bridge, near Tarr Steps, has been commissioned by Exmoor National Park Authority to improve the Two Moors Way walking and riding route.

The authority is encouraging purchases of plaques to honour a loved one or commemorate important anniversaries, or even just to mark the park’s 70th birthday this year.

Park authority access and recreation manager Dan Barnett said: “The bridge will not only divert footfall from ecologically sensitive areas, helping to protect wildlife like otters and pied flycatchers, it will also give riders and walkers a secure crossing over the River Barle, improving access to the landscape.”
