MORE volunteers are needed to continue a tradition in Kilve of keeping the churchyard of St Mary the Virgin Church in good order.
An existing team known as ‘the Grasskuteers’ has kept the village tradition alive since 1998.
‘Chief Grasskuteer’ Mark Walton said: “The aim is to cut the churchyard grass once a fortnight, each volunteer spending a maximum of two hours, three times a year, in teams of three people.
“The village and parochial church council greatly appreciate our efforts, maintaining the appearance of our lovely church and grounds.
“We have two well-maintained lawnmowers on site at the church and the teams are a mix of ladies and gentlemen.”
