AN appeal has been made for witnesses following an assault on a man in Minehead earlier this month.

Police said the man was walking near a play park in Warren Road when he was punched and kicked at about 7 pm on Friday, November 3.

The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.

The attacker was described as white and believed to be about 40 years old and was wearing a green coat and dark jeans.

Police are appealing for information from anybody who may have witnessed the incident or been nearby at the time.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: “If you were in the area at the time and have any information which may help, please call 101 and quote reference 5223269905.”
