THE Tin Giants, a progressive folk-rock band, travelled to Exmoor from all corners of the UK to perform a fund-raising gig to a packed Porlock Village Hall.

The band take an ‘in with the old and in with the new’ approach to interpreting, writing, and performing traditional, contemporary, and original music inspired by European acoustic and folk traditions.

The audience was treated to a dazzling array of instruments, including hurdy gurdy, bagpipes, cittern, saxophone, guitars, drums, harp, oboe, flute, percussion, and piano, as well as beautiful vocals.

The music included many tracks written by band members which left the audience spellbound.

The concert was held to raise funds for Porlock Visitor Centre, which is self-funding, and there are already plans to invite the band back for another performance in 2024.
