AN open day is being held on Saturday (February 15) to try to recruit more volunteers to help Minehead Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Minehead’s lifeboat station is urgently seeking new volunteers for a range of roles, including fund-raising, running its shop, joining the boathouse tours teams, and it also needs a volunteer shop manager.
Community manager Andrew Escott said: “We want to vastly expand all of our fund-raising teams this year and want to attract as many new volunteers as possible.”
Anybody who is interested in the opportunities is being invited to attend on Saturday between 10 am and 2pm to see the boathouse, chat to the volunteer teams, and to meet the crew over ‘a relaxed coffee’.
