AFC Dunster suffered an upset when they lost 3-2 to Division Two outfit Northwalls United in the first round of the Someset Sunday League's Gardner Cup.

United took the lead after a deflected effort looped over keeper Nat Leader. Dunster struggled to get thier foot on the ball though instinctively created a hatful of chances but failed to hit the back of the net. It wasn’t until an Olly Prescott strike that Dunster scratched the scoresheet. . Northwalls were superb in defence blocking everything Dunster threw at them. Thier efforts were rewarded as they took a 2-1 lead after a rasping finish that went in off the crossbar. . Dunster responded after a lofted effort by debutant Branden Simswk was met by the charging Harvey Wright who smashed in an equaliser before the break. . Both teams went in square at half time with much work to be done by the hosts. . There was no turn of fortune for The Greens as they failed to click in the second half. Changes made at half time proved to be ineffective as the visitors stood strong winning everything that fell to them. .
