THURSDAY, June 20, saw Williton back in West Somerset Bowls League action. The B team drew with Bridgwater C 47-47 but won 7-5 on points, while the A team won 58-45 and 10-2 on points against North Petherton B. Friday, the 21st, saw Williton fall to a 4-1 defeat to a very strong Taunton side in the Top Club while Callum Harrod unfortunately lost 21-19 in the national singles and Carrie also lost in the women's national singles. 22nd of June saw Williton host North Petherton A in the County league looking to retain the spot at the top of the table. They managed to do so with a 10-2 win and 61-49 24th of June Ian Hayes hosted Ilminster Matt Hamilton in the national champion of champions but, unfortunately lost. The men played in the Jack Stevens winning on all 4 rinks and the women won 1 of the 2 rinks in the Evelyn Yandel. Tuesday the 25th saw the battle of the two Williton triples in the national triples for a place in the quarter final. Ian, Derek and Callum lost by one to Andy,Rich and Phil who also managed to win the quarter final to book a place in the semi final! Chris, Andy, Derek and Phil have managed to get to the semi final of the county senior fours! Thursday, the 27th ,saw Williton back in West Somerset League action with the B team hosting and beating Taunton C, winning on 2 of the 3 rinks and picking up 10 points. The A team traveled to Taunton B but unfortunately lost 10-2. Saturday the 29th saw a County League, top of the table clash as Williton travelled to Ilminster but unfortunately lost 12-0 meaning Williton drop to 3rd in the league with 6 of the 11 games left. Williton have always struggled to stay in premier 2 so this season is going far better than expected, a run of tough games to go but a good portion of games to be played at Williton with the home advantage.  Elaine and her partner have reached the area final of the national senior pairs after a great win in the semi final. Saturday the 6th Callum Harrod will once again be representing Somerset in the middle cup away to Worcester.

Sunday, the 23rd June ,saw Williton host its annual Knight Cup, a 2 wood singles knockout competition. With a few shock results and early favourites bowing out in early rounds it was Graham Scott and last years winner Rich Waterman who have made it to the final to be play on the 7-8 of September - the club’s finals weekend
