MINEHEAD manager Craig Carr remains upbeat despite his side’s 4-0 home defeat by Middlezoy Rovers Reserves in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League last weekend.
“We made two mistakes in the first half and it cost us two goals,” said Carr. “We changed it around at half time and got caught on the break going forward. On another day I’m sure we could have won. I don’t think things will settle down until next month.”
Carr is planning to bring in five different players for Saturday’s game at home to Glastonbury - Bertie Lamar, Louie Burge, Ryan Wilkins, Sam Heath and Will Voss.
Meanwhile, Watchet Town are looking to field a much stronger side for their away match against Yatton and Cleeve in the Premier Division - also on Saturday.
Watchet took the bare 12 to play at Clevedon last weekend and came away with a 1-1 draw.
“I expect to have four or five players back for this game,” said Nick Sully, one of the side’s three-man management committee.
Watchet are having to play matches away until next month because their ground is required for cricket.
Yatton suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday night, going down 3-1 away to league leaders Nailsea United.
