PORLOCK Football Club, who run two teams in the Taunton and District Saturday League, one in the Premier Division and the other in Division Three, in addition to which they also run a ladies team competing in Division Two South of the SCWL, are preparing for the start of the 2024-25 season.

The Robins got their pre-season programme underway with a resounding 8-0 victory over Hinkley Point last week, the goal scorers being Chris Barrett (4), Cody Truscott , Jack Evans,  Ollie Morris and James Taylor .

On Tuesday this coming week The Robins play against Butlins and a week later on 27th August travel away to play local rivals Watchet Town.

Two days later, on 29th August, they host Alcombe Vets before their final pre-season outing away at Norton Fitzwarren on Tuesday, 3rd Sptember.

Porlock are always looking for new players so anyone looking to get back into football or looking for a new club with a great bunch of lads and a great social side. Pre-season training takes place on Tuesday evenings at 7pm at Porlock Recreation Ground.
