Last Sunday really wasn't a day to be out on your bike, but Minehead Cycling Club members were racing the Exeter Gravel Races.
The course was a mixture of gravel and sodden grass which got wetter as the race went on, turning into mud on which was a challenge to stay upright.
In their age class, David Bray had another excellent ride, finishing 4th in 1 hour 36 minutes and Stephen Crossman was 7th in 1 hour 43 minutes.
David said; "I was catching the third-place rider, but I was also being challenged by the chap behind me, so I had to make sure I didn't make a mistake which was easy in the slippery conditions.
“I'm really pleased I managed to ride up the slippery hill every lap, I'm sure that helped me hang on to 4th."
