EXMOOR Rangers have withdrawn from the West Country Drainage Services Taunton and District Saturday Football League.

Rangers, who retained their place in the first division despite finishing second from bottom at the end of last season, have been struggling to raise a team all winter.

“Exmoor have been finding it difficult to field a side - they have lost some players - and we gave them a couple of weeks grace in the hope they could carry on,” said Saturday League secretary Gary Best. “It is disappointing because we don’t want to lose any sides. But they simply could not carry on.”

The table has been amended accordingly which means Middlezoy Rovers Athletic top the division with a one-point lead over second-placed Dunwear United who have two matches in hand on the leaders. Wellington Reds have moved up to third and are three points behind United but have two crucial matches in hand.

Galmington Reserves are bottom with no points from 13 games.
