WATCHET Town will be looking to bounce back after their disappointing loss to Uphill Castle when they play at home to Stockwood Wanderers in the Premier Division of the Somerset County Football League on Saturday, November 2 (2.00 p.m.).

Watchet beat Wanderers 1-0 at home in the Somerset Senior Cup earlier this season and Nick Sully, a member of Watchet’s management committee, said: “Losing against Uphill Castle was not good. I’m not sure what Watchet team will turn up these days.

“It is very tight at the bottom. Unfortunately, Brandon Walsh and Aerran Clausen are still injured while Connor Jeromson and Mikey Bailey are unavailable. However, Vinnie Jones returns in goal and Charley Clausen is available.

”Watchet are lying fourth from bottom while Stockwood are tenth, three places above the Seasiders.

Minehead, who have dropped only three points in the first division, find themselves without a game again

“It is very frustrating,” said Minehead boss Craig Carr. “I’m not sure what is happening with the fixtures.

“We have played a lot of away matches and have yet to play in midweek. We have played three fewer matches than most sides.”

Minehead’s next fixture is a top of the table clash against leaders Congresbury away on Saturday, November 9.
