On Sunday morning Minehead Barbarians Under 10s played host to their counterparts from Bridgwater RFC.

The Minehead Under 10s performance was much improved from the previous week getting back to their winning formula.

The Barbarians overall team work in the first game was brilliant to watch, their rucking , mauling and tackling was relentless which in turn resulted in scoring several tries.

However a lapse in concentration allowed Bridgwater to score a well worked try but Minehead came out with a well deserved win.

This was followed by a shorter second game during which the Minehead defence and communication worked well and stayed strong at every Bridgwater attack. When the Minehead Under 10s had the ball their support play, passing the ball and keeping the game flowing provided them the opportunity to score several tries.

At the end of the match it was Minehead Under 10s who came away with the win after a fantastic all round team performance.

Gladiator of the week went to Amelia Westwood and  Barbarian of the week to Jack Barry.

The Under 10s team: Isabella Austin Smith, Amelia Westwood, Joshua Wyatt, Jack Barry, Sam Blackmore, William Sellick, Teddy Van Wyk, Ronnie Harris, Rupert Barrass, Henry Ellicott and Liam Floyd.
