BARRIE Jones produced another match-winning performance by scoring 131 for champions Bell All Stars who beat Phoenix Knights by 111 pins in the Premier Division of the Watchet & District Skittles League. Roger Gallagher scored 105 for Knights.

In the derby match at the Bird in Hand, a hand of 114 from skipper Martin Larcombe saw Bottoms Up pull off a valuable five-pin victory over Allsorts to give them a chance of avoiding relegation, Alan Shopland scoring 107.

Mark Willis hit 107 for QC Guys as they ran out 21-pin winners against Rebels, Nev Weir and Tom McNoughton scoring 112 apiece, and Jack Bell knocked 104 for Jack as they beat Castaways by two pins, Steve Duck top of the alley with 109.

Division A leaders Has Beens had Mark Clausen scoring 95 as they overcame Barn Owls by 19 pins, who had Tom Andrews scoring 97. This win leaves Has Beens two points ahead of second-placed Railway Steamers who had Phil Perkins hitting 98 in a 33-pin victory over Dungbeetles whose Phil Hayes scored 94.
