BELL All Stars' Barrie Jones gave another outstanding performance in the Premier Division of the Watchet Skittles League, hitting a superb 128 in their 50 pin home victory over Bottoms Up whose Chris Briggs scored 98.
Second placed Allsorts had Alan Shopland scoring 117 as they inflicted a 21 pin defeat on lowly placed White Horse Stallions whose Dan Godfrey topped their scoring with 113 while an excellent 120 from Q C Guys Archie Walsh saw them to a convincing 81 home win against Castaways, Steve Duck hitting 117.
Phoenix Knights are hovering around the relegation places after losing their home match against Three Ferrets by 23 pins, Ryan Cody Boucher scoring 102 for the Knights and Martyn Baker 110 for the Ferrets.
Combwich Otters are now clear leaders at the top of Division A after skipper Dave Jones 113 led them to a narrow 5 pin away win over Dungbeetles for whom Gary Kendall hit 104. Barn Owls George Pike with 112 keeps the Owls in second place leading them to a 69 pin home victory against Railway Steamers whose Shane Yaw and Phil Perkins both hit 89.
With Division B leaders Wyndham Pinheads having their bye week second placed Wyndham Warriors took full advantage with Mike Gannon hitting 101 to draw level at the top of the table with a resounding 93 pin home win over Legion Specials who had Dave Perkins knocking 93.
A match winning score of 122 from Badgers Lee Allen gave them a comfortable 62 pin home win over struggling Rams who had Leighroy Davis leading their scoring with 117. Ian Rottenbury scored 98 for Haddon Hillbillies in their 40 pin home win against Footy Fockers, Gavin Badger 93 to move into third place in the table.
