TWO presentations took place out on the pitch in front of the Andy Caddick Pavilion during the tea interval on the second day of the championship match between Somerset and Durham at Taunton
The first presentation saw long time supporter Mary Elworthy-Coggan presenting the proceeds from the barbecue she hosted at the end of July to the representatives of the three organisations she was supporting.
The proceeds which was the 30th Mary has hosted in Fitzhead, amounted to £6,750 and saw her present cheques for £2,125 to The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, the Alzheimers Society and Somerset County Cricket Club.
The second which came as a complete surprise saw Jamie Cox, the Somerset Chief Executive, present Mary with a limited edition print of an original painting of the Cooper Associates County Ground by Jack Russell.
Jamie said: “It was a wonderful moment with one of our great supporters, who has raised so much money for the club and other causes dear to her heart.”
The CEO added: “The print was an early release of a Jack Russell print of the county ground commissioned by Club Chair Sir Michael Barber as part of the 150th celebrations next year.”
