THERE have been runs a plenty for the Somerset Pathway players in the last week with the three highest innings an unbeaten 167 by Seb Linnitt, Oscar Coleman’s 158 not out and 140 from Bertie Michael all coming in the same match.

Wickets have been harder to come by but two bowlers have enjoyed four wicket hauls, Connie Osborn claiming four for 14 while Isobel Glyn-Jones took four for 31.

The three centurions scored their runs in the Under 18s Boys three day game against Northamptonshire at Desborough which ended in a  victory by the visitors.

Batting first the hosts posted 367 for nine, Ben Sleeman taking three for 45, in reply to which Somerset made 313 all out of which Oscar Coleman made an unbeaten 158 off 161 balls with 27 fours and two sixes.

Second innings Northants scored 350 for seven Oscar Coleman taking two for 25 while Muhammad Kaleem claimed two for 78.

Chasing 404 for victory Somerset reached 408 for three thanks to a third wicket partnership of 256 between Bertie Michael who made 140 off 190 balls with 22 fours and Seb Linnitt, who then shared an unbroken fourth wicket partnership off 66 with Coleman who ended not out 34. Linnitt was unbeaten 167 off 169 deliveries with 29 fours and two sixes.

Somerset Girls Under 18s played two T20 matches against Wales in the first of which Wales batted first and scored 96 for seven off their overs, Connie Osborn taking four for 14 off four overs. In reply Somerset reached 87 for seven Genevieve  Donaldson top scoring with 23.

In the second game Somerset batted and made 119 for four, Katie Rowe making an unbeaten 50 off 60 balls with four fours and Brooke Whittaker 32. Wales in reply made 109 for six, Connie Osborn ending with two for 26.

The Girls Under 18s hosted Nottinghamshire in Bridgwater . in the quarter final of the ECB T20 Cup. Somerset posted 156 for four of which Leila Moledina made 35 and Lucy Hawker 50 off 39 balls with eight fours and one six, the pair adding 100 for the second wicket.

In reply Notts reached 136 for eight, Verity Clark claiming two for 20 and  Lola Harris two for 23.  The Under 13 Girls played two T20 matches against Gloucestershire in the first of which Somerset batted first and scored 119 for four, Emma Mason making 54 off 41 balls with eight fours, while Emily Dummett was not out 22. In reply Gloucestershire reached 110 for seven.

In the second game Gloucestershire posted 124 for eight Isobel Glyn-Jones claiming four for 31 in reply to which Somerset made 125 for five in 16.2 overs, Clemmie Lyon-Taylor making 29 and Daisie Frost an unbeaten 34.
