WATCHET Town will be looking to avenge a Premier Division defeat away to Ilminster Town when the sides play each other again in the first round of the Somerset County League KO Cup at the Memorial Ground on Saturday, September 21 (3p.m.).

Watchet lost 3-1 at home to lowly Somerton Town in a Premier Division game last weekend and club official Nick Sully said: “We simply did not turn up. It was a very disappointing display.

“We had one or two players missing but then that’s always the case. Eben Harding, Jay Darrell and Kieran Bailey are all available this weekend but we’re losing other players, so there will be changes."

Meanwhile, inform Minehead are involved in the same competition when they play away to Burnham United who have yet to pick up a point in the first division.

Minehead have won their last four games, much to the delight of manager Craig Carr who is in his first full season in charge. The Seasiders have dropped only three points this season, back at the beginning of the season when they lost 4-0 at home to Middlezoy Rovers Reserves.

Since then they have moved up to seventh in the table with games in hand on all teams above them.
