WATCHET Town face a tough tie against Congresbury in the second round of the Somerset County Senior Cup at the Memorial Ground on Saturday, October 5 (2p.m.).

Unfortunately, Watchet go into the game against a side who are top of Division One in the Uhlsport Somerset County League without full backs Aerron Clausen, Lewis Rogers and Josh Aspey, while Brandon Walsh and Kieran Bailey are also unavailable. However, Watchet are hoping teenage midfielder Riley Willis will be back.

“Our problem this season has been in trying to field a settled side,’’ said Nick Sully, a member of the club’s three-man management committee.

“Congresbury will be a tough team to beat. They have lost only once this season, and beat us comfortably in a cup tie last season."

Meanwhile, Minehead continue their run of away matches when they play Yatton & Cleeve in the same competition.

Minehead are currently lying sixth in the first division, having dropped only three points - ironically a 4-0 loss at home to Middlezoy Rovers Reserves on the opening day of the season - despite playing so many away games. Yatton & Cleeve play in the Premier Division and are currently eighth.
