BELL All Stars and Allsorts have clear daylight at the top of the Premier League in the Watchet Skittles League.

Adam Taplin scored a match-winning 121 for Bell All Stars in the 49 pin away win against Three Ferrets whose Simon Norman hit 114 while Allsorts’ Brian Bishop hit 135 as they ran out winners by 81 pins against Rebels, Nev Weir and Tom McNoughton scoring 106.

A winning margin of two pins led by Steve Duck 108 saw Castaways to a narrow home win over Bottoms Up Brandon Walsh hitting a superb 127 and a score of 97 apiece from Jos Bennett and Allistair Benham gave White Horse Stallions their first home win of the season defeating Phoenix Knights by a narrow two pins. QC Guys’ poor run of form continued after 104 from Andy Norman gave Jack a 16 pin home win in which Tim Short also hit 104.

In Division A, Has Beens’ Mark Clausen holds the highest away score for Division A hitting 114 but could not prevent the improving Williton Club side winning the match by 33 pins, Alan Bland leading score for the home side with 116. Lee Jones’ 114 was the leading light for Combwich Otters as they notched up a 58 pin home win over Outsiders winning by 58 pins, whose Tom Chidgey scored 106 and 111 from Barn Owls’ Dean Marchant helped them to a 81 pin win over Dungbeetles, Aaron Kendall hitting 101.

In Division B, Wyndham Pinheads gave a strong performance in their away match against Footy Fockers as scores of 112 from Keith Jones and 111 from Richard Thrush saw them take the points by three pins, Andrew Duffield 109 for the home side and a knock of 98 from Quantock Stags Roger Polsom helped steal the points against Badgers whose Mike Sheehan hit 95.
