A PROLIFIC West Somerset criminal has walked free from court after admitting a string of offences.
Kallum Nolan, 27, of Hawthorn Road, Minehead, faced 14 charges involving burglary, common assault, fraud, and shoplifting.
He appeared before Taunton Deane magistrates, who sentenced him to eight weeks in prison but suspended the order for 18 months during which he would be supervised.
Nolan was arrested after police investigated a distraction burglary in the Parkhouse Road area of Minehead in May where a wallet and jewellery were stolen from an elderly man.
He was charged with that offence and a further 11 counts of fraud relating to the use at cashpoints and retail premises of bank cards taken in the burglary.
Nolan also faced separate charges of shoplifting and common assault after an incident in the Co-op store in The Avenue, Minehead, in March.
He had been on bail since making a first court appearance in June.
