VILLAGERS in West Somerset are preparing to have their cake and eat it when award-winning home baker Nikki Seymour opens high street premises.
Nikki has run her Bake Me Crazy cake kitchen from her Exmoor home for the past five years.
Now, she is opening a shop in High Street, Porlock, where she has long been supplying local businesses with cakes and sweet treats.
Nikki developed a love of baking as a child helping her mother and began making her own recipes as she grew older.
And she is uniquely qualified to understand why people love her cake creations after studying psychology at the University of Gloucestershire, in Cheltenham.
However, unable to find a job she enjoyed, Nikki fell back on her bakery skills and started Bake Me Crazy.
The kitchen and cakery opening on May 4 will see the first 10 customers receive a Bake Me Crazy tote bag, while there will also be a treasure hunt with social media channels leaving clues to find five golden tickets to win a treat box.
There will also be free cake tasters until the shop runs out.
Nikki said: “Whether you are a die-hard cake connoisseur or just somebody who appreciates a good sugar rush, we have something that will make your taste buds dance the confectionary cha-cha.
“From tantalising cakes that will make your Instagram followers drool, to melt-in-your-mouth blondies that will have you questioning if you need maybe just one more, Bake Me Crazy is your one-stop cake shop.”
