WEST Somerset side Alcombe Rovers, who won promotion from the second division in the Taunton & District Saturday Football League at the end of last season, start the 2024-25 campaign with a home fixture against Norton Fitzwarren FC, kicking off at the King George Recreation Ground at 2.30pm.
The Alcombe team completed their pre-season friendlies with a 3-0 victory over Stogursey - thanks to goals from Sam Harley, Josh Brufrod and Cam March.
Next up for the Alcombe boys is a Cup match against North Curry FC on 6th September at Castle Sports Centre 3G pitch in Taunton kicking off at 8.00pm.
Last season Alcombe Rovers were sponsored by Agnieszka Rydz from the Fitness Station and would like to thank her sponsorship and support.
The Club is delighted to be able to announce that this will be continuing in the 2024-25 season and during which they are hoping to bebuild upon last year’s success.

Alcombe Rovers finished third in Division Two of the Taunton Saturday League last season, winning 15 of their 20 matches, drawing three and losing only two.
