WILLITON’S bowlers were back in West Somerset League action on Thursday of last week.

The B team hosted Eastover B, winning on all three rinks. The A team travelled to Wellington to play their B team, winning on two rinks and picking up ten points.

On the Saturday Williton played in the county league against the Isle Of Wedmore. Greg Child, Andy Fish, Rich Waterman and Phil Ash  lost 20-16, Alan Cane, Roger Mitchell, Mick Grogan and Derek Sully won 20-13. Alan Blackmore, Nigel Waterman, Ian Hayes and Callum Harrod won 25-11, securing ten points and moving back up into second place in the league.

On Monday, the 15th, Williton played Porlock in the Jack Stevens, winning on all four rinks and 116-33. 

Congratulations to Elaine Amery and her son James Amery on winning the National family pairs regional final and will now be off to Leamington.

Di Mulhall, Marilyn Atkins and Linda Middleton played the Webber Cup triples at Watchet, winning three of their four 4 games to finish runners up.

Greg Child, Di Mulhall, Andy Fish and Rich Waterman played in the Porlock fours, winning all four games to win the competition. Well done to both teams.
