THE top match in Division Four of the West Somerset Cricket League between Hemyock and Ashbrittle was cancelled because of bad weather.
It means Hemyock remain top but their lead has been reduced to nine points by Roadwater who also have a game in hand.
Roadwater managed to play away to East Huntspill and won by 51 runs. Batting first Roadwater scored 179 in their 40 overs with Caleb Laney top scoring with 51 while Steve Cornish was 46 not out.
Huntspill’s most successful bowlers were Nigel Alway who took 3-40 while Adam Lee finished with figures of 2-32.
Huntspill lost two wickets in scoring 16 runs but Lee (36) and Josh Flagg (26) shared in a third-wicket stand of 63. But once these two were parted Hunptsill struggled and finished on 128-9.
Buckland St Mary & Bishopswood are up into fourth place after beating Over Stowey by 152 runs. The visitors batted first and piled up 259-8 in their 40 overs.
Steve Morris led the spree with 70, with Ian Every hitting 60 and Roger Kallaway 41 before being run out. Carl Woodley took 3-27.
Cheney Mogford (33) and Simon Pickard (32) top scored for Stowey who were all out for 107 with Charith Liyanagamage taking 3-20.
