WIVELISCOMBE'S young side lost by a crushing ten wickets away to Taunton 2nd XI in Division Two of the Somerset Cricket League.

After being put into bat Wiveliscombe were shot out for 91 with opener Richard Morrison being the only batter to reach double figures, his 56 not out containing eight boundaries. Four of their middle-order batters were out for ducks. At one stage Wivey were 15-5.

Hugh Kelly (36) and J Wigley (49) encountered no problems in knocking off the runs with Wigley, in particular, scoring at the rate of one run a ball.

The result leaves Wivelscombe bottom of the table.
