WATCHET Town will be fielding a side well below full-strength for the home game against Yatton & Cleeve United in the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League on Saturday, February 8 (2p.m.).

“We’ve probably got somewhere in the region of a dozen players unavailable,” said club spokesman Nick Sully. “There are a variety of reasons. We just have to soldier on as best we can.

“It would have been a struggle to field two sides this weekend.

“I thought we should have got something out of the Chard game last weekend - we certainly deserved to.”

Yatton are lying tenth in the table while Watchet are just above the relegation zone in 13th spot.

Meanwhile, Minehead also have a home game against Clutton in the first division, with a 3p.m. kick-off.

Minehead are up to fourth in the table while Clutton are holding a mid-table position.
