ANY hopes Watchet had of chalking up a third away win on the trot in the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League were scuppered by a second half collapse when Fry Club ran out 5-1 winners last Saturday.
Making the trek to Keynsham with a threadbare squad the visitors were a little unfortunate to go in halftime 2-1 down when they looked capable of getting something out of the game before things went badly wrong after the break.
Brandon Walsh tested the Frys keeper with a couple of long range efforts while the home side's finishing was found wanting on occasions.
Vinnie Jones made a couple of sharp stops before he was beaten by a 25-yarder which took a slight deflection.
Watchet were giving as good as they received and it was all square when Billy Jones was brought down just inside the area and Olly Prescott confidently despatched his second spot kick in a row.
Jones then met a Prescott corner with a firm header which the keeper held onto from point blank range and Frys went almost straight to the other end to get their noses back in front minutes from the interval.
Once Frys made it 3-1 from a corner which should have been a goal kick the home side never looked back and straight from the kick off Watchet conceded possession and then watched, stunned, as a 30-yarder found the net to make it 4-1.
Another long range effort completed the scoring midway through before Watchet managed to escape further punishment.
