MINEHEAD Barbarians Under 12s had a great turn out from the squad for their first home match of the season which was against Bridgwater RFC on Sunday morning.
The home team started strongly showing some epic handling skills with some great offloading and counter rucking on display.
The first quarter saw the Bararians over the line several times with Bridgwater trying hard to defend the attacking play up the hill.
The home defensive play was commendable with players really working well throughout.
Big tackles and many more tries saw the the Barbarians clearly in the lead by halftime much to the delight of the players and all of those watching.
The home team definitely showed their strength in numbers by changing nearly the whole team and still leading easily.
Players were implementing the coaches instructions and what they have been practicing in training sessions and it really showed out on the pitch against Bridgwater.
The match ended with MBRFC scoring several more tries and not conceding any points to the other team.
This was another epic and thoroughly deserved win for this Under 12s side which sets them up nicely for the rest of the season.
