MINEHEAD Barbarians will be looking to step up the pressure at the top of Counties Two Somerset when they play away to St Bernadettes Old Boys on Saturday, November 16.

The Babas, who are lying second in the table, will be playing a side which crashed 143-0 away to leaders Midsomer Norton last weekend.

Midsomer Norton, who have a seven-point lead over Minehead, have topped 100 points in three matches this season. The Old Boys are lying second from bottom, with one victory in eight matches.

Stand-off Joel Lynch is included in Minehead’s squad after a long lay-off through injury.

Minehead's head coach Mick Orton said: "It is never easy playing a side which has lost by such a score. But we will approach it as we would any other game.”

Minehead 2nd XV, lying fourth in Counties Four Somerset South, are without a fixture.

Meanwhile Wiveliscombe, much improved compared to last season, play away to Bideford in Counties One Western West. The North Devon outfit are having a nightmare of a season and have yet to pick up a point following eight successive losses.

Top of the table Wiveliscombe 2nd XV, who have a 100 per cent record, are away to Yeovil 2nd XV in Counties Four Somerset South.
