CHAMPIONS Bell All Stars Barrie Jones and Martyn Ketchen hit 122 apiece as they rounded off an outstanding season as they completed their Watchet and District Men’s Skittles Premier League programme with an emphatic 65 pin victory over Three Ferrets whose Simon Norman and Chris Adams hit 101 apiece.

In a 27 game league programme the Stars amassed 25 wins and one draw to dominate the league.

Seventeen points behind the Stars and ten points ahead of third place, Allsorts with Ian Clapp hitting 136 finished their season with a crushing 127 pin win over Castaways whose Nick Lane scored 104 and 121 from Q C Guys Mark Willis saw them to a 50 pin success against Phoenix Knights Matt Snell hitting 111.

With their relegation already confirmed White Horse Stallions finished their fixtures with a 27 pin win against second bottom Bottoms Up who had Ross Sweetland hitting 103 and with this defeat sees them drop to Division A.

A score of 105 from Rebels Brad Lock led them to a 14 home win over Jack whose Steve Bosley scored 104.

Division A

Has Beens and Railway Steamers both clinched promotion to the Premier League with home wins this week.

Has Beens had Mark Clausen in clinical form hitting 119 in the 49 pin victory over Combwich Otters, Dave Jones hitting 106 and Jim Frewin with 101 led Steamers to a 92 pin win over Outsiders, Martin Nurton scoring 92.

Has Beens just need to avoid defeat in the final game to be crowned Champions. Steve King hit a excellent 112 for Williton Club as they took the points by 10 pins against Dungbeetles whose Tyler Kendall hit 107.Withy the A Division losing Hungerford Harriers at the start of the season only one team will be relegated.

Division B

At the top of Division B Wyndham Warriors won the match of the day as 118 from Warriors Phil Trunks saw them to a 44 pin victory against second placed Wyndham Pinheads to draw level at the top.

A play off will be played at Williton Club on Monday 24th March to decide the Champions. A 102 from Quantock Stags John Cartwright saw them to a 41 pin win over Rams who had Leigh Davis on 98.

100 apiece from Bernie Woodbury and Mark Mossman led Dizzy’s Boys to a 27 pin win over Legion Specials for whom skipper Dave Perkins led their scoring with 98.
