WATCHET Town and Minehead will be looking to bounce back this coming weekend after losing ties in the Somerset Premier and Division One Cup.
Watchet, beaten 2-0 at home by Ilminster Town, have another tough game at the Memorial Ground on Saturday September 28, when they play second-placed Nailsea United in the Premier Division (3p.m.).
However, they go into the game without Aerron Clausen, Lewis Rogers, Chris Sully and Josh Aspey, while there is a doubt over Jay Darrell. However, Watchet are hoping Riley Willis and Eddie Townsend will be back in the squad.
“We’re having a difficult time of things at the moment,” said Watchet official Nick Sully. “We’ve not been able to strengthen the side since being promoted last season.”
Meanwhile Minehead, surprisingly beaten away by Burnham United last weekend, are away to struggling Saltford in the first division. Goalkeeper Jack Harding will be back along with Ryan Wilkins, Sam Heath and Rob Vickers.
“We made four bad mistakes at Burnham and we paid the penalty,” said manager Craig Carr. “I made changes to the side to give players game-time.”
Minehead have lost only one league match this season and are lying seventh in the table with games in hand on all the teams above them.
