THE outdoor season at Minehead Bowling Club has come to an end with the green officially closing on Monday, September 23

Over the last two weekends the accumulation of the club competitions came to a climax with the finals being played.

The second of the two weekends saw both the finals of the  Dorothy Crook and the Stroud Cups; both singles competitions  for members who have never been club champions: one for women and the other for men. The winners were Sara Rew & Tom Hill.

The other final played was the nominated pairs where members chose their partner. Husband and wife Maureen and John Freegard lost to Anne Gibson and Nick Swann.
