EXFORD were at home to Ilfracombe in the North Devon Cricket League on Sunday at the end of which it was the hosts who ran out comfortable victors.
After choosing to bat first Exford posted 269 all out in 37.4 overs, the main feature of which was 96 from young Oli Ahern which he scored off 72 balls and included 10 fours and four sixes.
Also in the runs was opener Sam Price who made 76 off 62 balls with eight fours and three sixes, who added 64 for the third wicket with Ahern while Vishnu Kombath hit 33 off 30 deliveries with five fours and a six.
When the North Devon side replied they were soon in trouble as Renjeesh Krishnan reduced them to three runs for two wickets.
The visitors then slipped to 28 for seven before Adan Bambridge who made 31 off 29 balls stepped up and stemmed the fall of wickets. However, when he was bowled by Steve Hyde, Ilfracombe were all our for 80 in the 22nd over, giving Exford victory by 189 runs.
Renjeesh was the pick of the bowlers taking three for 11 off five overs, while Ahern ended with two for nine and Tom Barry two for five.
