STOGUMBER stretched their lead at the top of Division Three in the West Somerset Cricket League with a 31-run home victory over Cannington.
Batting first, Stogumber made 138 all out with M Ritchings top scoring with 25, while Elias Hayes and Ben Rexworthy both hit 24.
In reply Cannington struggled with the bat with Christian Callum scoring 24 and Harry Rose 18. S Yaw took 4-32.
Stogumber now have a 66-point lead over second-placed Sampford Arundel who were involved in a rain-affected home game against Wiveliscombe who made 218-4 in their 40 overs before the game was abandoned. Ross Porter was 85 not out while Thomas Lorimer scored 85. Sampford were awarded 16 points and Wiveliscomnbe 22.
Bishops Hull moved up to fourth in the table after beating Fitzhead at home by three wickets. Fitzhead scored 287-6 in their allotted overs with Dan Rottenbury knocking 142. Henry Mancini took 4-46. Josh Chanter (101) and Mark Chanter (51) led the successful chase for runs by the Taunton outfit.
Vishnu Kombath hit 106 not out and Renjeesh Kristnan 91 as Minehead Thirds (237-3) beat Cutcombe away by 25 runs in a 30 overs a side game. Cutcombe responded with 212-4 with Mark Matravers scoring 56, Lee Baker 43 and Ben Pursey 45.
