PORLOCK ladies took the short trip to Watchet for their first local derby in Division Three South of the Somerset Women’s Football League and it didn’t disappoint.

With Porlock wanting to continue their winning streak in the league they know they had to work as a team.

Porlock took the lead within the first 10 minutes after a great through ball from Aimee found Kayleigh who finished well.

Just before half time keeper Hannah had to pull off a great save to keep the score 1-0 going into half time.

The second half saw Porlock continue to play out from the back, creating gaps and through balls for the attackers but again just short in the final buildup.

With Porlock’s defence on their toes against strong young Watchet forwards they worked tirelessly and communicated well together to stop any threat.

Porlock’s second goal came again from Kayleigh after great build up play by Christina and Julie in the middle of the field.

The final score was 2-0 to Porlock.

Player of the match went to Maisie for her great work rate and strong play in defence.

Porlock would like to thank everyone who came to show their support for them.
