WITH England's last group match in the Euros being on Tuesday, June 25, Watchet Town are now due to commence pre season training on Thursday, June 27, at 6.15pm at the Memorial Ground with new and existing players welcome.
Please bring trainers and boots. The club has friendlies arranged away to Bishops Lydeard Reserves on Monday, July 15, and Bishops Lydeard first team on Thursday, July 25, but would still welcome a couple more before their Premier League programme begins on Saturday, August 3.
As the Memorial Ground in Watchet is unavailable for football matches before September, would any club interested in hosting Watchet in midweek for a pre season friendly please email [email protected].
The Red & Blacks are also in urgent need of a goalkeeper to help them out in August - even if only on a short term basis - please ring or message Nick Sully on 07805593416 or 01984 631483 if interested.
Having regained their Premier Division status at the first attempt Watchet will be hoping to get their campaign off to an encouraging start under last season's management team of Sully, Matt Heywood and Aaron Deeks, despite having to play all their August fixtures away from home.
